USk Germany Meetup, Sept. 12 - 14
#uskstuttgart2025

Getting There

Arriving by train

Longer walks should be planned from the main station to the city center and to the subway U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations. A shuttle service is available for people with limited mobility.

Public transportation:

In Stuttgart, you can get around easily using the public transportation system operated by the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS). The network includes suburban trains, regional trains, trams, buses, and the cogwheel railway and cable car. The information booklet you will receive when you register tells you which connections you can use to get to the meeting points.
If you don't have a Deutschlandticket, we recommend buying your ticket via the app (cheaper than at the ticket machine). Zone 1 is sufficient for our sketch walks.
The VVS app is particularly handy, as it also shows connections in real time.

Sketch Walks

Participation in all sketch walk events is voluntary. Registration was required for the sketch walks on Saturday morning and afternoon so that participants could be evenly distributed. Please bring your name tag to the sketch walks on Saturday morning and afternoon.

All participants who indicated during registration that they would be attending on Saturday were assigned one sketch walk in the morning and one in the afternoon. Two emails were sent to everyone at the beginning of August. When you register, you will be notified of the sketch walk you have been assigned.

For the sketch walks, we will meet at the designated time at the meeting point. The meeting points and directions by public transport are listed in the information booklet. There you will be welcomed by sketch walk leaders.

How Can I Recognize a Helper?

All helpers, e.g., sketch walk leaders, have their name tags attached to a black lanyard with the yellow imprint “Urban Sketchers Stuttgart.”
For easier recognition, they dress in yellow, black, and white.

Group Photo

We will take our group photo on Saturday at 7 p.m. The meeting point is at the rear entrance of the StadtPalais, or in the foyer if it rains.

Stamps

We have set up a stamping station with several stamps in the StadtPalais. You can use it there during our information stand hours.

Presentation of the Drawings

  • All participants can make their digital drawings available in an online gallery (Padlet). Uploading is easy and can be done at any time. Instructions can be found in our information booklet.
  • For the final exhibition of the sketchbooks, you can hand in your books (max. 1 book per person) on Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the foyer of the StadtPalais. As we have limited space, not all sketchbooks can be displayed.
The sketchbooks will be exhibited in the foyer of the StadtPalais on Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during the closing event.
